  • How does interest accrue on current accounts?

    Interest on current accounts in BGN accrues on the 30th of each month. Interest on current accounts in foreign currencies accrues at the end of each year.

  • How can I learn the IBAN of my account?

    The number is written on a special slip, which you received from the bank employee who opened your account. Alternatively, you may access the Asset Online banking system and find there all of the numbers of your accounts.

  • Is an advance notice required for cash withdrawals?

    An advance notice for amounts in excess of BGN 5,000/EUR 2,500 (or the equivalent in other currencies), is required to be submitted by 02:00 P.M., two business days prior to the operation.

  • What types of deposits are available at International Asset Bank AD?

    The Bank offers standard term deposits, as well as short-term growing interest rate deposits. The standard term deposits provide a healthy return, combined with a variety of terms and currencies. Depositing of additional funds is allowed at any time and an option to withdraw funds at maturity up to the minimum amount for opening the deposit is also available. Asset Temptation 4 is a 4-daily growing term product, combining a flexible tenor and advantageous interest rates, which increase after each period expires. In case of termination before maturity the interest amounts paid remain unaffected and would not be subtracted from the amount of the principal. This deposit provides the opportunity to withdraw funds at maturity and unrestricted depositing of additional cash amounts until the end of the fourth period.

  • What are the fees for opening and maintenance of term deposits?

    The deposits at International Asset Bank AD are opened and maintained free of charge.

  • If I choose to renew my term deposit would I be required to visit the Bank on maturity date?

    No, the deposits at International Asset Bank AD are renewed automatically under terms in accordance with the applicable Interest rate bulletin.

  • Is it possible to switch automatically from one type of deposit to another?

    It is not possible to switch automatically from one type of deposit product to another. In order to change the type of product the client must express a wish for change and enter into a new deposit contract.

  • Which are the currencies for executing transfers within the Western Union system?

    Transfers within Bulgaria are executed in BGN, EUR, USD, while all other countries have fixed the currencies, in which transfers are ordered and paid.

  • May a money transfer for an amount in excess of BGN 100 000 be executed through the BISERA system?

    No. In compliance with Ordinance No. 3 on the Terms and Procedure for the Execution of Payment Transactions and Use of Payment Instruments, all payments of clients of banks in amounts equal to or exceeding BGN 100,000 must be executed via the RINGS system.

  • What are the customary timeframes for execution of foreign currency transfers?

    The standard value dates for execution of foreign currency transfers is two business days from the date of receipt of the payment order, provided it would be submitted by 01:00 P.M. at the latest.

  • What types of cards are available at International Asset Bank AD?

    The Bank issues the following types of cards to corporate clients: MasterCard Standard/Business credit card, Asset revolving credit card MasterCard Business.

  • What is the timeframe for issuance of debit and credit cards, offered by the Bank?

    Within 5 business days.

  • I have received my card and I am trying to make a transaction at an ATM/POS terminal but it has been rejected. What should I do?

    Call the bank branch which issued your card and they will be able to check if there are available funds on the card along with the limits applied to it.

  • How can I check the status of the bank account, associated with my card?

    You will be able to check the status of your bank account on every ATM by firstly choosing the OTHER SERVICES option from the menu and by selecting ACCOUNT STATUS. You will receive a receipt where the current status of your bank account will be displayed. In addition, you can always check the statuses of your bank accounts by using the Asset Online internet banking system.

  • When attempting to initiate a transaction at an ATM I am receiving a message UNKNOWN CARD. What should I do?

    Please check the expiry period of the card. Usually in such cases the card has expired. You will be able to pick up a renewed card in the bank branch, which originally issued your card.

  • When attempting to initiate a transaction at an ATM I am receiving a message THIS OPERATION CANNOT BE COMPLETED. What is the reason for this and what should I do?

    This is usually due to various technical issues with the ATM or lack of funds. In such cases, please try again and if the issue persists attempt to complete the transaction at another ATM. 

  • What are the reasons for an ATM to retain my card?

    This can happen due to the following reasons:

    • In cases when you forget to collect your card after completing your transaction;
    • lIf the card has been stolen or lost in the past it will be “blocked” and this can also cause the ATM to retain your card;
    • Technical issues with the ATM;
    • Deformation or demagnetizing of the card.

    The most common reason for a card to be retained at an ATM is the first one and we advise you to pay extra attention when initiating transactions at an ATM to avoid forgetting your card.

  • Who should I contact in cases when my card is retained at an ATM?

    You will have to contact the people in the bank branch, where the ATM is located. If the ATM is located outside of a bank branch or office, please contact the bank branch which issued the card or the International Asset Bank “Card Centre” on 02/920 43 03.

  • What should I do if I loose my card or if it gets stolen?

    You will have to contact the bank branch which issued the card immediately. Once you notice the card is missing, please contact International Asset Bank on 02/ 920 43 03 and ask for the card to be blocked.

  • What is a PIN code?

    The Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a four digit combination, which is the password for your card. The PIN code can be changed by the cardholder at an ATM and has to be known only by the cardholder for security reasons. In addition to the ability to change the PIN code at an ATM in Bulgaria, cardholders of cards issued by International Asset Bank can change their PIN code at any ATM in Europe.

  • What should I do if I enter an incorrect PIN code 3 times at an ATM?

    In such cases the ATM will block your card for security reasons. You will have to contact the bank branch, which issued your card and they will be able to assist further with unblocking your card if you remember the correct PIN code. If you cannot recall the correct PIN code you will have to reissue the card.

  • What other additional services are offered along with the card products?

    The bank offers notifications via text messaging, which provides the best protection from scams. In addition, with the MOBB service you can pay online merchants or initiate transactions via Internet by using your mobile phone.

  • What types of loans does International Asset Bank AD offer for institutional clients?

    The Bank offers revolving credits, credit lines, overdrafts and loans with repayment schedules for working capital and investment purposes.

  • How long does it take to obtain approval for a loan?

    In the case of corporate clients the specific features of each project often vary and therefore they are reviewed on a case-by-case basis within the shortest possible timeframes.

  • What types of bank guarantees does International Asset Bank AD issue?

    The Bank issues guarantees for participation in tenders and procedures under the Public Procurement Act, for customs purposes, for deferred payment, as performance bonds etc. The guarantees are issued in BGN and in foreign currencies and feature exceptionally advantageous charges and commissions.

  • What is the timeframe for issuance of a bank guarantee?

    It depends on the guarantee type and the security provided for it. The application for issuance will receive a response within 3 days, once all documents required are gathered and an approval from the competent body of the Bank is in place.
